Snowshoeing is the perfect way to explore both the mountains and valleys in winter. There is nothing complicated about snowshoeing, you are just going for a walk and using a piece of equipment, a snowshoe, to prevent you from sinking too deeply into the snow. They also have studs on the base which gives a good grip in icy conditions. Easy!
It is an activity that is growing rapidly with more and more people heading for the hills in winter. We put it down to the fact that snowshoes allow you to get away from the crowds, and into a magical winter wonderland of silent forests, beautiful mountains and stunning views.
On our snowshoe trips we also like to share our knowledge of the winter mountains and will chat about the snow pack and how to choose a safe route for the conditions. Remember you don't need any previous experience to snowshoe, just warm clothes, reasonable fitness and a sense of adventure!
All our trips are available for private groups. If you would like to travel on different dates, or with family or friends on a bespoke trip, then please get in touch giving your preferred dates and itinerary.
