Tracks and Trails has been set up by Lindsay Cannon and Julia Tregaskis-Allen, as a gateway to independent tailor-made walking, mountain biking, Nordic walking, snowshoe and cross country ski holidays. We also recognise that some of you would rather join a group and therefore also feature Scheduled Departures on our most popular trips.

Lindsay has spent over ten years exploring the Alps and has great enthusiasm for and knowledge of the mountain environment. When not in the Alps Lindsay lives in the Highlands of Scotland and reports for BBC television and radio on a wide range of environmental and countryside issues. Her film work, which has seen her experience everything from ice-climbing, to pot-holing, and kayaking, enjoys a worldwide audience. She is a fully qualified International Mountain Leader, BASI Nordic Ski Instructor, Nordic Walking Instructor, and Trail Cycle Leader.

Julia has worked in outdoor education and on expeditions worldwide from Africa to the Himalayas. She is passionate about a variety of sporting activities, regularly competing in running, triathlon and cross country ski races. Julia previously worked as a Personal Trainer in London, so if you feel that improving personal fitness is a major part of your mountain holiday, then Julia is ideally qualified to give advice on how to reach your goal. Julia is also a qualified International Mountain Leader, BASI Nordic Ski Instructor, Trail Cycle Leader and Nordic Walking Instructor.
