Private Guiding Price Guideline
When booking a bespoke walking trip the prices outlined below are per person based on a minimum of 4 clients. The prices are a guideline – the cost depends on the number of walking days and the type of accommodation you would prefer. Some trips can include baggage transfer which means you only walk with a light day pack.

Chamonix Day Walks
Chamonix, France
Since the first ascent of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe, the famous mountain town of Chamonix has attracted visitors worldwide. The stunning views of glaciers and snow clad summits have inspired artists, writers, and poets such as Wordsworth, Dickens and Shelley.
With both Switzerland and Italy just thirty minutes drive away we can easily walk in three countries in three days. It's an ideal base for a huge range of day walks for all abilities.
Tour des Fiz
Chamonix, France - 5 days
An ideal mountain weekend, passing through two Nature Reserves, providing you with a true alpine experience. The Rochers des Fiz is a massive rocky mountain ridge which dominates the skyline for miles around.
We spend three days completing a circuit of it's dramatic cliffs walking 'Le Tour des Fiz'. We travel through alpine pastures and over high cols, used for centuries to link the valleys, while enjoying some of the best views of Mont Blanc.
Tour des Dents du Midi
Switzerland - 7 days
According to a 19th century traveller this trip offers "the incomparable solitude of the Alps in the most beautiful meadow in Switzerland".
Louis Coquoz was describing the stunning high meadow of Salanfe, which lies below the impressive mountain ridge of the Dents du Midi in the Valais region. This journey has been likened to seeing the whole of the Alps in one small area; such is the variety of landscape.
Tour des Combins
Switzerland and Italy - 8 days
We explore the mountains of the Pennine Alps as we walk round one of the famous 4000m peaks of the Alps. Staying mainly in high mountain huts we travel in a circuit through Switzerland and Italy with the beautiful peak of the Grand Combin, 4,314m as the focal point of our journey.
We travel through high alpine meadows where the edelweiss grow, and climb to the Col du Grand St Bernard to the monastery which is home to the famous St Bernard dog. This is a relatively new route and therefore is less frequented than others - a true adventure!
Gran Paradiso Traverse
Italy - 8 days
The very name conjures up images of a paradise among the high meadows and snow covered peaks and that pretty much sums up this trip. We spend six days traversing the Gran Paradiso National Park following a route which takes us close to the glaciers, past the green waters of the high lakes, and through a countryside rich in flowers.
The national park has also played a major role in protecting the wildlife in the area, and we are likely to see ibex, chamois and marmots. The walk is all the more enjoyable due to Italian hospitality, pasta and coffee!
Tour du Mont Blanc
Spectacular walking in France, Switzerland and Italy
10 days
The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of Europe’s classic long distance Alpine treks, or Grandes Randonnees - a complete circuit of Mont Blanc the highest mountain in Western Europe while passing through three countries, France, Switzerland and Italy.
Our tour starts in Chamonix, the mountaineering capital of the world, and begins a journey of discovery which takes in the history, culture, folklore and wildlife of the mountains. From remote farms and refuges, to ancient Roman towns and beautiful lakeside mountain villages - it's all there on the Tour du Mont Blanc.
- Professional guided walk
- Hike through 3 countries
- You select the level of accommodation
We have allowed 10 days to complete the circuit taking care that each of the stages represents a reasonable day’s walk and also ensuring that we have access to a good standard of overnight accommodation. There are many variations to this itinerary and if time is an issue then you may wish to consider a shorter trip where we can 'hike the highlights' over 6 days, or over a weekend you can walk a 'demi-TMB' or half a Tour du Mont Blanc where it's possible to walk through 3 countries in 3 days.
Luggage transportation is also possible for this trip.
Tour de Monte Rosa
Switzerland and Italy – 12 days
One of the finest and most challenging long distance walks in the Alps is to make a circuit of Monte Rosa. Lying in the Pennine Alps bordering Switzerland and Italy, the Monte Rosa massif is made up of seven summits over 4000 metres high, including the Dufourspitze, the second highest peak in the Alps.
Still a relatively new circuit the Tour de Monte Rosa looks set to become one of Europe's classic long distance walks. Travelling on ancient paths, through pine forests, meadows and hidden valleys, we keep as close as possible to the snow capped mountains with views to the peaks of the Matterhorn, the Weisshorn and the Dom.
A truly stunning trip which includes a night in the world famous alpine town of Zermatt.
Chamonix - Zermatt (The Walker's Haute Route)
France and Switzerland - 13 days
Another of the 'must do' routes in the Alps which links two of the most famous mountain towns in the world. We begin in Chamonix, France with views of Mont Blanc, and end in Zermatt in Switzerland home of the Matterhorn.
We climb over high mountain passes using ancient trails previously used for trade and travel. Some of the terrain is wild and remote, scattered with glacier-fed lakes and moraine, but we also walk through pleasant green valleys, flower-strewn meadows and a series of beautiful Swiss villages.
- An historic point to point trail
- Traverse some of the highest Alpine walking trails
- Stay in rustic mountain inns
