Merry Christmas from

Julia and Lindsay in Chamonix.

The resorts are open and winter is here!

Time to get out and enjoy the white stuff.

Don't get stuck on the M25, enjoy the mountains this winter!

Trip Availablity & Private Guiding

If you are still looking for a winter break then these trips are 'Guaranteed to Run' and still have places. Alternatively, if you are heading to the Alps and only have a day or two to spare then we offer private guiding on snowshoes, night-snowshoeing to mountain refuges & offer cross country ski instruction. We take groups of all levels and can provide all the equipment. Just contact us for details and dates.

Chablais Traverse or Italian Alps?

We have received many enquiries over the Autumn for both of these trips but it's been tricky trying to find dates to suit you. If you would still like to join these trips the departure dates are now:

Italian Explorer - 30 Jan - 6 Feb 2011. Explore the Aosta Valley's snowy peaks and enjoy a week based in Etroubles.

Traverse of the Chablais - 27 Feb - 6 March 2011. A true adventure from the mountains to lake Geneva, from hotel-to-hotel, whilst luggage is tranfered for you.

What's on your Christmas List?

If you're in the UK you've probably wished you'd owned a pair of snowshoes over the past 2 weeks not only for heading to the hills but trying to get to work.

We have been working with Facewest, an online Adventure Equipment Specialist, to deliver snowshoes to your door.

We have reccommended the TSL Escape Easy as an ideal snowshoe for your trip to the alps. Easy to fit, no fuss snowshoe. Facewest offer a 10% of your order value as reward points to future purchases.

Did you know?

  • The word 'ski' comes from Norway where it is pronounced 'shee' , originating from the Old Norse language meaning 'split piece of wood'.
  • The Sami people people of Scandanavia used skis to hunt & follow Reindeer around the same time the Egyptians were building the pyramids!
  • Snowshoeing is Europes fastest growing winter sport - but before the 1970's they have a 6,000 history used for hunting & survival.

"This was our 3rd trip snowshoeing and it was by far the best in every way. Looking forward to the next trip already!"
