Cross Country Ski Venues
There are many cross country ski resorts in the Alps. Below are a few of the areas which we prefer to use. But if you have your own ideas for a base, then please get in touch.

Mont Blanc, Chamonix, France
The world famous Chamonix Valley in the French Alps is an idyllic base for exploring the near by valleys and plateaus of the Mont Blanc Massif. The home of mountain climbing, mythical peaks and great granite cliffs and glaciers makes this a stunning setting for cross country skiing. -
Giffre, Grand Massif, France
Wide valleys, glaciated cliff walls, waterfalls, lakes and canyons - this area of the French Alps is rich in limestone geology. Its' splendors hide unique treasures with traditional villages and hamlets are hidden in valleys, surrounded by wonderful mountain vistas. -
Beaufortain, Chartreuse, France
The Beaufortain is a 'Tiny Tyrol', a land of fir trees and mountain pastures where the Tarine cows graze and produce the milk which becomes the Beaufort cheese. The Chartreuse National Park is a fantastic place to cross country ski due to its natural surroundings, diverse animal and plant species and graceful landscapes. -
Chablais, Vallée Verte, Portes du Soleil, France
With views over Lake Geneva and Switzerland, this gentle mountain range leads to the Portes du Soleil where you can visit traditional shepherds' farms and chalets. The home of the Abondance cheese, rich in flavor just like its' surroundings. -
Col des Mosses, Switzerland
In Switzerland we can visit the beautiful setting of Col des Mosses. Perched on a high pass it retains good snow conditions and has a wide range of ski tracks. If you feel like changing your skis for other footwear you can try snowshoeing or skate on the outdoor rink.
